CINDERFORD remain firmly entrenched in the relegation zone following their 27-10 defeat at Macclesfield, their seventh loss in a row.
The Foresters started brightly and should have been in front, but outside-half Mark Davies missed two kickable penalties.
The home side forged ahead with a penalty from Tom Eaton.
Number eight Jonathan Keep then went over for a try from a line-out catch and drive.
Cinderford hit back with a well taken try from leading scorer Nevaro Codlin, who showed his pace by bursting away from the Macclesfield defence down the right wing. Danny Trigg took over the kicking duties to add the conversion, cutting the half-time deficit to 8-7.
Replacement second-row Chris Jones picked up a yellow card straight from the restart to put Cinderford on the back foot.
The home side took advantage of the extra man when skipper Evan Stewart crashed over.
Cinderford appeared to score a perfectly good try after Rob Winchle gathered a Davies chip and went over unopposed, but the referee disallowed the try and awarded a penalty instead, which Trigg successfully kicked.
Macclesfied lock Matt Owen scored his side's third try 10 minutes from time, which Eaton converted.
Cinderford finished the game with a good spell of pressure on their opponent's line, but just when it looked like they might get some reward they dropped the ball – and a breakaway try from Richard Hughes in injury-time gave Macclesfield a second bonus point.
