A 32 year-old Mitcheldean man has been convicted of breaching a sexual harm prevention order by communicating with two under-age girls.

Dean Rooker of Stacknedge Lodge denied the offences but was found guilty by Cheltenham Magistrates and bailed for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He is due to be sentenced on September 6th.

The court ruled that he had flouted the terms of an order made on Oct 7, 2020 forbidding him from making contact with girls under 18.

The two offences of which he was convicted were committed just days afterwards, between October 10-14 2020 at Coleford, the court heard.
