DRIVING with an illegal level of amphetamine in his blood has resulted in a 57 year old Mitcheldean man being banned from the roads for a year.

Mark Baldwin, of Appache Paradise, Wigpool, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to driving a Honda Jazz in Steam Mills, Cinderford, on February 7 this year with excess amphetamine in his body.

He also admitted possessing 5.35mgs of amphetamine on the same date.

As well as the one year driving ban he was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.

The court ordered forfeiture and destruction of the amphetamine.
