A MISSING multiple sclerosis sufferer has been found dead at a Forest beauty spot.

Dad Fraser McDonald-Bell (pictured) disappeared from home late on Monday night.

His body was recovered from Cannop Ponds just after midnight on Tuesday.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious and have informed the coroner.

Although living in Tuffley, Gloucester, Mr McDonald-Bell, 42, had lived in the Forest.

The father-of-two was last seen at home about 11pm on Monday and did not take any medication when he left by car.

Brother Alistair described him as a very generous, kind, family man.

"He had been suffering with MS for eight to nine years and rarely left home because of his disability," he said.

"His walking was very bad – he could do six to seven steps and that was it. He must have found it difficult to leave the house on his own.

"We guessed he had driven to a quiet place in the Forest and that was where he would be found."

Inspector Andy Poole of Gloucestershire police said: "Although formal identification has not been carried out it is believed that this male is Fraser McDonald-Bell."
