North Glos League Round-up

WITH most Premier Division teams in Hospital Cup action, Milkwall took full advantage to return to the top of the league.

They beat Westbury United 7-1 with efforts from Craig Morgan (3), Tom Tomlins (2) and Lance Bevan (2). Tom Liddington netted Westbury's consolation.

Mushet & Coalway lost 3-1 at home to Newnham United, while Staunton & Corse overcame Sedbury 3-1 with strikes from Dave Bates, Stuart Boote and Josh Ralph.

Whitecroft shaded a close derby game with Lydney Town Reserves by 1-0.

Division One leaders Redbrook Rovers had to work hard to see off Howle Hill, Neville Harris grabbing the only goal of the game.

Bobby Clarke, Marc Matthews and Richard Tilling shot Huntley to a 3-0 defeat of Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves.

Division Two Lydney Town A edged out Worrall Hill 2-1, Blakeney beat Soudley Reserves 3-0, and Whitecroft Reserves sunk Westbury's second string by 4-2.

Damian Goodman's goal gave White Horse a 1-0 success at Woolaston Reserves.

In Division Three, Liam Davies (3), James Smith (2) and Dan James netted Puma Reserves a 6-0 win over Mushet & Coalway Reserves.

United Longhope were also emphatic winners, with Will Maizonnier (2), Jimmy Woodward (2), Callum Mansell and George Rudge finding the target.

Joseph Clarke (4), Chris Davies (2) and Adam Jacobs helped Milkwall Reserves chalk up a 7-0 victory at Redbrook Reserves, while Jamie Anderson-Kirby (2) and Richard Wilkins shot Ruardean United to a 3-2 win at home to Bream Reserves.

Viney Reserves and English Bicknor Reserves drew 0-0.

Adam Tyler's lone effort was all that separated Yorkley Reserves from Littledean in Division Four.

Mitcheldean A beat Puma A 7-2 with efforts from Clint Jones (2), Andrew Horlick (2), Gareth Milford and Rhys Long. Puma's goal-getters were Jack Callicott and Scott Murphy.

Hat-tricks from Matt Freeman and James Bowles and a seventh goal from Damian Edwards ensured a 7-1 win for Ruspidge United over St Briavels Reserves.

Sedbury Reserves won 7-5 against Harrow Hill A, with Newent A beating Redside 4-1.
