THE discovery of eight gold bracelets dating back 3,500 years during a metal detecting rally in the Forest of Dean have been declared treasure by a coroner. The exact location in the Woolaston area where the Bronze Age bracelets metal detector users, Steve Moodie and Lee Todd, was kept secret at the treasure inquest in Gloucester. Gloucestershire coroner Katy Skerrett said she was satisfied from the age and 84 to 88 percent gold content of the hoard that it qualifies as treasure.
