Police in Woodcroft and Tutshill are inviting local residents to come and meet them at Police Information Points (PIPs) this week.
The first is at Woodcroft Christian Centre tomorrow (Tuesday, January 18) from 1pm to 2pm.
The second is at Tutshill Police Station on Thursday, January 20, also between 1pm and 2pm.
Officers from the Forest South Safer Community Team (SCT), who are specifically tasked with tackling the policing priorities for the area with partner agencies, will be at each event.
Police Community Support Officer Natalie Thomas said: "Please come along and meet us. As well as talking to us regarding any issues you have in your community this is a great opportunity to get to know your local officers."
PIPs are used throughout the county. They display details and contact information of local officers and local policing priorities, and are positioned in places that are likely to be visible to residents in the area.
They also hold copies of a community leaflet that can be filled by residents with any issues they may have. Completed leaflets can be placed directly into a locked letterbox for a police officer to collect.
More information about Forest South SCT and the work they are doing can be found on the neighbourhood policing pages of the Constabulary website: http://www.gloucestershire.police.uk">www.gloucestershire.police.uk.
