MATT Jackson produced some stunning darts to earn the right to play professionally on the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) circuit.
Matt was one of just four players from more than 100 entries to earn their PDC tour cards on day three of the PDC Pro Tour Qualifying School in Wigan on Saturday.
His win puts him among the top 128 players in the country, with the playing rights to take on the likes of Adrian Lewis, James Wade and Phil Taylor in the top tournaments. The 26-year-old decorator from Cinderford was handed a bye in the first round of the qualifying school.
He hammered Lee White 6-1 in the second round, then overcame Terry Temple 6-3 in round three.
Trailing 4-1 to Jason Crawley in the fourth round, Matt dug deep to triumph 6-4.
In his tour card showdown, he easily saw off Hull's highly rated teenager Reece Robinson by 6-2.
Sixteen players in total earned PDC tour cards over four days of finals.
Another nine players qualified from the Q School Order of Merit, which is comprised of ranking points won over the four days in Wigan.
Matt said: "It was my day on Saturday. I'm chuffed to bits to qualify and I've already upped my practise.
"My darts can only get better from playing against better players."
Matt often practises with Bristol-based World number 27 Mark Dudbridge.
He plays in the Bristol Super League on Tuesday nights, as well as locally, for the Forge Hammer pub on Mondays and the Tufthorn Inn on Fridays. He is also a West of England player.
