A 49-year-old Cinderford man who misused a disabled parking pass in Gloucester has been fined £240 and ordered to pay another £266 in costs and surcharges.
Andrew Morton of Church Road admitted at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court that on July 16 last year he misused a parking card issued for disabled people by Gloucestershire County Council.
The charge stated “The card had been deleted, relating to the parking of motor vehicles, and at that time there was displayed on the motor vehicle a badge of a form prescribed under section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970, and you were using the vehicle in circumstances where a disabled person’s concession would have been available to a disabled person’s vehicle.”
