A JEALOUS man who had already broken the leg of his ex-girlfriend's fiance sent her a threatening text in rhyme, a court heard last Wednesday.
Anthony Matthews, 20, of High Street in Cinderford had been banned by a court order forbidding him to have any contact with Katie McCabe - but that did not deter him as Matthews decided to text her in a rhyme.
But at Gloucester Crown Court, Judge Jamie Tabor QC told Matthews: "It was a deeply unpleasant text message designed to discomfort and undermine the confidence and security of your ex girlfriend. That was deliberate."
