A MAN was knocked out after his car overturned between Lydney and Whitecroft.

Police, firefighters and paramedics found the 20-year-old Lydney conscious and out of his car when they arrived at the scene on New Road.

The collision happened between 8.30pm and 8.50pm on Tuesday and the black Vauxhall Vectra he was driving ended up on its roof, blocking the road.

The man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with back and neck injuries which were not considered serious.

Police are particularly keen to trace the driver of another car - a silver Vauxhall Nova or something similar in size - which was seen on the road at the time of the collision.
