POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist sustained “serious injuries” in a collision with a parked vehicle on a road in Lydbrook last week.

Officers were called to scene of the crash on Stowfield Road, near Lower Lydbrook Park on the banks of the River Wye,  at around 7pm on Friday (February 25), following a report that a motorcycle had collided with a parked stationary vehicle.

The collision involved an orange Honda motorcycle and a red Nissan Juke.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s from Hereford, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

He remained there on Monday (February 28) for treatment.

A statement said: “Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to police who may have witnessed what took place, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.”
