A MAJOR search is underway for missing Cinderford mum Paula Simpson.
The 42-year-old mum vanished from home at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Husband Gary was hoping she had gone for a walk to clear her head, but she never returned.
Yesterday as police combed Linear Park looking for keen birdwatcher Paula, Gary appealed for anybody with information to come forward.
He is hoping that Paula, who is suffering from depression, has gone to stay with somebody to clear her head.
But he said: "I am worried because she thought the world of our son and she's never just upped and gone off like this before.
"If she is staying with somebody please can they get in touch with me or the police."
Police say the are worried about Paula's mental welfare.
She is described as white, of medium build, 5ft 2ins tall, with shoulder length straight mousy hair.
When she was last seen she was wearing black trousers and a blue top and carrying a light tan handbag.
Paula has a black ink flower tattoo on her right wrist, a blue tribal scribble tattoo on her lower back and a fairy tattoo on her right shoulder.
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 182 of November 21.
