TRAFFIC has returned to normal following a reported accident on the M5 Northbound around 9.15am today (Tuesday, March 3).

The area was cleared around 10am, allowing traffic to move as normal, reducing congestion.

It is however, still unclear as to whether the incident was a collision. Gloucestershire Constabulary said its M5 logs showed debris reported on the road and the matter was moved to Gloucestershire Highways.

Traffic was slow moving and the M5 was partially blocked in Gloucestershire, while drivers faced delays on the northbound carriageway between junction 12 and 11.
