Henley 62

A 61st minute try from replacement lock Dave Bennett (pictured), converted by Craig Jones, was all Lydney had to show for another sorry day on the road.

Fly-half Craig Jones believes Henley gave the visitors a stark reminder of the amount of work you have to put in just to compete in National League rugby.

He said: "Henley are a very good side and they're where we want to be.

"They play a similar game to us but in terms of conditioning they are much better than us. They played the way we wanted to play.

Lydney were outplayed in most departments, conceding nine tries in total. They trailed 29-0 by the break and worse was to follow in the second half.
