A neat pass inside the full-back from Timmins allowed Adam Price to atone for his earlier miss.
Town's third goal gave them extra confidence.
Gareth Haywood made a great run from inside his half to set Timmins free. The Lydney striker rounded the keeper, but was brought down. Mark Lee knocked in the spot-kick. Lydney increased their lead on 63 minutes when Headington keeper Jenkins miscued the ball to Ross Lindsay, who tapped in for his first Hellenic League goal.
Headington refused to buckle and Cuff cut the deficit with a stunning lob over Reddan.
However, Lydney man of the match Matt Timmins headed home a Lindsay cross to restore his side's three goal lead.
Headington's challenge finally ended once Brown was sent from the field for a clumsy tackle on Morse.
Lydney rubbed salt into the wounds with a sixth goal – Timmins tapping in another superb cross from Danny Clarke.
