RIDING a scooter without insurance has cost a 23 year-old Lydney man more than £1,000 in penalties at Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
Lucas Drake of Crump Place, Lydney, drove an Aprilia RX125 on Lydney High Street on 21st Nov last year with no insurance policy in force, the court ruled under the Single Justice Procedure.
He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a £264 victim services surcharge. The court also endorsed his driving licence with seven penalty points.
