THIS match at the Recreation Ground was reduced to 30 overs per side.
Painswick squeezed home with just four balls to spare, thanks to 57 not out from Adam Wager.
Lydney's total of 161-6 looked competitive in the conditions. The top three players in the order scored the bulk of the runs with Keith Davis making 54, Jordan Stone 28 and Jack O'Connell 42.
After tea, James Bishop took two early wickets for Lydney, but Wager and Julian Telling (47) kept their side in the hunt with some positive batting. Andrew Wilkinson's eight over spell cost him just 15 runs, but the Painswick batsmen were severe on some of Lydney's other bowlers.
