A 27-year-old Lydney motorist who drove with an illegal level of cannabis in their bloodstream has been banned from the roads for a year and ordered to pay £635 in fines, costs and surcharges.
Lui Powell-Stacey of High Street, Lydney, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court to driving a Ford Transit Connect on the A40 at Over on June 4 2022 with Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood in excess of the specified limit.
The magistrates said a 12 month disqualification was obligatory for the offence.
They fined Powell-Stacey £500 plus costs of £85 and a £50 victim services surcharge.
