A 25-year-old Lydbrook man has been ordered to pay £910 compensation after he damaged a door at a Texaco filling station in Cheltenham earlier this month.

At Cheltenham Magistrates Court Cameron Cooper of Hillside Terrace, Joys Green, pleaded guilty to damaging the glass door either recklessly or with intent to do so on March 4.

The court ordered him to pay compensation but did not impose any other sentence or require Cooper to pay any costs or surcharges.

They said compensation took priority.  Cameron was given until April 18 to pay.
