AROUND 100 guests gathered at Forest Hills Golf Club for Lydbrook Football Club's annual dinner.

Simon Holland was named first-team player of the year, with Tom Skinner and Pete Harper collecting the second and third team awards, respectively.

The players' player of the year awards went to Tom Creed (firsts), Adam Lambert (seconds) and Pete Harper (thirds).

Ryan Lambert was presented with the Liam Teague Memorial Shield for young player of the year, with club awards given to Allan Hale and Marcus Wilby.

Stuart Brain, Andrew Clements, Wayne Lewis and David Clarke received the chairman's awards.

Andrew Clements will continue to run the first-team squad in Northern Senior Division One in 2011/12.

Training for all teams will kick-off at the Reeds Sports Ground on Wednesday July 6 (6.45pm).

Lydbrook will again be running second and third teams in the North Gloucestershire League.

They will also be launching an under-18s team in the Bristol Under-18s Combination League.

The club thanked Venaglass Ltd for the use of the facilities at the Reeds Sports Ground, the club's committee for its hard work and team sponsors Pine & Oak Centre, The Courtfield Arms and Lydbrook Valley Garage.
