FOREST of Dean Citizens Advice Bureau, in partnership with Age UK Gloucestershire, have received two years funding from the Big Lottery Fund to deliver a Forest wide advice pathway project across the Dean.
The project is to increase volunteering and enhance what the CAB currently deliver; adding value and increasing partnerships and skills within the Forest area.
A spokesperson said: "A client will be able to walk into any partnership venue and receive a pathway into the advice they need without having to go to several agencies.
"It involves working with other agencies in the Forest to strengthen partnerships and improve the service clients get.
"The aim is to build a cohesive advice network for the Forest of Dean area."
Over a two year period Forest of Dean CAB are looking to recruit 100 volunteers in a variety of roles, based in venues throughout the Forest.
The project launch will take place on Tuesday 10th December from 11am to 1pm at Forest of Dean CAB, Forest Road Centre, Forest Road, Cinderford, GL14 2NR.
Refreshments and mince pies/cakes will be provided.
Partners / potential partners are invited to come along and volunteers / anyone wishing to become a volunteer are also invited.
