A LOCAL musician has scored a top accolade for penning one of the top 20 compositions of 2018.

Tony Davis, frontman of Forest band ‘Banshee’, has named one of his compositions named after local First World War Victoria Cross holder Angus Buchanan.

The tune was selected as one of the top songs of last year by a panel lead by famous musician Simon Thoumire for Scotland’s Music Hub.
