THE Wilderness Project has gained the support of Sir David Attenborough and Sir Jonathon Porritt in its final bid to acquire the Wilderness Centre.
The group are preparing a viable business plan to reopen the educational centre near Mitcheldean.
Trevor Roach, former head of environmental education at the Wilderness Centre, said: "We had a very successful meeting and we've gained a lot of support for our project.
"We are now in the process of putting very viable business package together."
