Lydney v Redmarley

IN-FORM Lydney made light work of beating Redmarley by an emphatic 10 wickets.

Lydney skipper Ed Jones won the toss and decided to bowl. The decision paid instant dividends with Jones himself clean bowling Gareth Yardley for one and David Reynolds for a second ball duck.

Paul Newbery and Joe Lawrence tried to dig in, but both went with the score on 31 – Jones trapping Newbery lbw for 13 from 31 balls and Peter Glynn rattling Lawrence's stumps.

There was no respite for Redmarley and they were rolled out in less than 28 overs for 90. Ed Jones (3-16) and speedster Glynn (4-40) did most of the damage, with Will Jones (1-15) and Paul Morris (2-9) wrapping things up.

Jon Kear and Will Jones eased Lydney to victory in 23.2 overs with 42 not out apiece.
