CONTROVERSIAL crime museum boss Andy Jones refused to cut up a toddler's Klu Klux Klan costume on TV.
Littledean's Crime Through Time owner was offered more than £1,000 if he would destroy the grisly exhibit. But he told an outspoken judge on the Channel 4 show Four Rooms that the costume was worth far more than that.
After a heated debate with maverick dealer Jeff Salmon, he left the show with the costumes.
Four Rooms is described as Antiques Roadshow with a twist as sellers go from room to room trying to persuade the dealers that their treasure is the real deal.
In previous episodes they have tried to sell everything from JK Rowling's chair to a slice of the Queen's wedding cake, but if they leave the room they lose the offer.
Also hoping for a sale last night were the owners of the original Reservoir Dogs artwork, an Apollo prototype space suit, Abbey Road titles and Richard Burton's mink coat.
Three out of the four visibly shocked dealers said they would not make an offer on Andy's Klu Klux Klan outfit made for an American Grand Dragon in the 1920s.
But it was the child's costume for a three-year-old dating back to the 1970s that most shocked the judges.
Outspoken Jeff said he would buy both and give them back as long as Andy cut up the child's outfit.
Afterwards Andy said he had no regrets about his decision to keep the disturbing costume which he bought in the late 1990s.
"As far as I was concerned it was a derisory offer and I didn't want to sell it anyway because it's part of the collection," he said.
