MITCHELDEAN'S hopes of catching runaway leaders Minsterworth took a battering this week, with a 3-2 defeat at Huntley.

Mitcheldean led 2-0 at the break, but Huntley fought back to take maximum points with goals from Will Freeman, Richard Tilling and Dan Payne.

Broadwell Reserves thumped struggling Coleford United 6-1, while Steve Lane, Jason Berry, Declan Morley-Lyne, Aaron Goddard and Andy Bynon shot Lydney Town Reserves to a 5-2 win over Newent Town. Daryl Bayliss and Paul Mason replied for the losers.

Wayne Cole earned a draw for Mushet & Coalway at Westbury United, after Cliff Khoza had put the hosts in front.

Staunton & Corse also drew 1-1 with English Bicknor.

Mark Lawrence put Staunton ahead, but Tom Phillips equalised.

In Division One, leaders Whitecroft edged out Aylburton Rovers 1-0 with a Joel Giddins winner.

Jack Knight, Dan Morgan, Rob Kibble and Mike Coleman guided Ruardean Hill Rangers to a 4-2 triumph at Blakeney. Antony Wildin and Andy Rowles found the target for the home side.

Redbrook Rovers beat Mitcheldean Reserves 3-0, while Chris Jackson (2) and Jack Fowler provided Rank Outsiders with a 3-2 win at Ellwood Reserves.

Ellwood's goal-getters were Dave Childs and Luke Griffiths.

Puma now top Division Two following their 3-2 victory at Lydbrook Athletic A. Lewis Bennett, Phil Brookes and Ian Mann found the net for the Worrall Hill-based club, with Simon Probert and Tola Onajobi replying for Lydbrook.

St Briavels were held to a 0-0 draw by Woolaston Reserves.

Damian Goodman scored all five goals for White Horse as they beat Staunton & Corse Reserves 5-3. Staunton's hitmen were Dave Taylor, Ian Merrick and Mark Hawtin.

Tom Partridge and Gwyn Thomas were on the mark for Harrow Hill Reserves in a 2-0 defeat of Westbury United Reserves.

Ruardean Hill Rangers went down 2-0 at home to Gloucester Civil Service in their third round replay.
