THERE was standing room only at Westbury-on-Severn Parish Church for the final farewell to the Forest's 'great ambassador' Councillor Norman Stephens, who died suddenly at the age of 63. Family and friends of the former chairman of the district council and county councillor were joined on Thursday by Deputy Lord Lieutenants, civic dignitaries, fellow councillors, council chiefs, business bosses - and even former England rugby ace Phil Vickery. Tributes were paid by current district council chairman Jane Horne and fellow councillor Dave East, who described Norman as a great ambassador whose voice would continue to echo round the council chamber for years to come.
