NEIL Hook has stepped down as manager of Lydney Town's first-team.
Increasing work commitments was cited as the main reason for his decision after almost four years in charge.
Chairman Pete Elliott said: "Neil took over at a difficult time when a lot of our best players such as Pete and Joe Macklin and Danny Clarke were leaving. He's done a great job, especially when you think that before last Christmas we looked like we might be challenging promotion.
"He will still be involved with the club and is on the committee."
Neil's assistant Kevin Price has also stepped down because he wants to resume his playing career in the club's third team, alongside his son.
Lydney are looking for new managers for their second and third teams as well as the firsts.
