STAFF at a Newent residential home where 87-year-old resident Dolly Cook fell to her death seven years ago have been cleared of any blame.

Dementia victim Dolly was prone to wandering around Highfield House Residential Home in Culver Street at night, an inquest heard.

Nobody knows how she managed to climb onto the roof without breaking a ceramic security device.

But Gloucestershire's Assistant Deputy Coroner Tom Osborne exonerated the home owners and staff from any blame.
