ACTION is being taken at St White's Primary after the school was put into 'special measures' to improve pupil progress.

The school in Cinderford has been judged as requiring 'special measures' following an Ofsted inspection in December and is now being supported by Gloucestershire County Council to drive up standards with a robust action plan.

The achievement of pupils at the end of Year two was judged by the inspector as being inadequate in English and mathematics.
