Errea Northern Senior League
Division Two
Harrow Hill 4
Cheltenham Civil Service 2
HILL played well in patches to win this game.
They were soon on the attack with Eddie Weyman causing problems and repeatedly getting fouled.
The Cheltenham keeper made a number of good saves, but eventually the pressure told and Paul Manns headed in a corner.
Manns scored again from the penalty-spot five minutes later after Weyman had been felled in the box.
Hill relaxed, allowing Civil Service back into the game. They conceded once and needed Simon Reid to make a great point blank save.
At the other end Hill were still creating chances – Scott Davies heading against the bar and the Civil Service keeper making another decent stop.
The match carried on in a similar fashion in the second period with Hill passing the ball around well. They made the game safe when Matt Boseley raced clear to score with a shot across the keeper.
Tom Burford (pictured) then scored a fourth for the league leaders with another header from a corner.
"I was pleased to get back to winning ways," said Hill manager Andy Reid.
"The effort and commitment all over the pitch was much better, but we need to start killing off teams and not allow them back into games."
