A FOREST playgroup has been named the best in Gloucestershire.

Yorkley playgroup named the best community playgroup in the GHP (Global Health and Pharma) awards – although they do not know who nominated them.

The group, based on the Yorkley School site, started four years ago with two children and now has 42.

They have recently taken on another playgroup in Parkend.

Manager Sophie Thorne said: “We are delighted to have won the award.”
