LYDNEY Golf Club is set to tee-off legal action with developers MMC over £25,000 members say is owed from their move to a new course.
Golf club chiefs claim they were promised £25,000 within 20 days of moving if they quit their old course without a legal battle.
But MMC says the £25,000 was only payable if they needed the land early, which wasn't the case.
Now the long-running row over the £25,000 could go before a county court judge.
"This agreement had been made before a county court judge so what there is to debate we cannot understand," said Lydney Golf Club spokesman Jeremy Williams.
"Repeated requests to MMC have yielded very little and so we have no real alternative but to go to court to get our money."
