Sasha Selby owes her life to quick-thinking leisure centre staff who brought her back from the dead.

The nine-year-old from Coleford was dragged from the swimming pool at Forest Leisure in Five Acres and staff found that her heart had stopped.

The Coalway Junior School pupil suffered a seizure while swimming at around 4.10pm on Sunday and was found underwater.

Lifeguards Aggie Jones, 19, 17-year-old Tom Cherry and Matt Brown, 27, immediately attempted to resuscitate her while paramedics rushed to the scene in the Mid-Counties Air Ambulance along with First Responder vehicles and an ambulance.
