DEAN flower power ruled the roost at the Chelsea Flower Show this week after garden expert Peter Dowle and his team won a gold medal.

Peter, founder and managing director of Peter Dowle Plants & Gardens praised the 25-strong team behind the award-winning Monaco Garden, and said it was the pinnacle of his landscaping career.

"It's as big as it gets from a gardening point of view," said Peter.

The company, based at Howle Hill, Ruardean and Newent was commissioned by Prince Albert of Monaco to build the garden and flew out to meet him.

Their crowning glory was completed on Monday when the Prince met the Queen in the garden.
