Freemining tradition under threat from new clean air act

OVER 1,000 years of Forest of Dean mining tradition could be wiped out by the stroke of a Westminster bureaucrat’s pen.

The Freeminers’ Association is appealing to Environment Secretary Minister Michael Gove to make The Forest of Dean exempt from a proposed clean air act that would ban coal burning on domestic fires.
