FORWARDS coach Lee Fortey says Cinderford' s players have finally realised they're part of a good side.

The Foresters thumped Tynedale 32-5 at Dockham Road on Saturday to make it three wins out of three.

Fortey said: "The win over Coventry got the ball rolling for us and we've grouped together.

"We're not doing anything drastically different to when we were losing. We're just executing things much better and not making so many mistakes. I think we were guilty of trying to force things when we didn't need to earlier in the season.

"Dave Knight and Adam Nicholls have come into the side and made a big difference because they're experienced players and generally make the right decisions. But other people have really found their form too, people like Paul Price, Ed King and Paul Boston. I think our side is nicely balanced.

"I watch a lot of DVDs on other teams and Barking, who are doing really well in our league, don't do anything fancy. They just play to a system and keep to it."

Cinderford go to bottom club Launceston on Saturday, but Fortey says it won't be easy.

He said: "Launceston were docked 20 points but they're a mid-table side in reality.

"I actually played down there last year myself and it's a nice place to go and play. We let ourselves down against them at home, but this is a massive game for us. Our confidence is up, we're playing well and I'm really looking forward to it."
