FOREST of Dean police reminded residents about the importance of car insurance, following the seizure of an uninsured car.

On Thursday, January 22, officers from Forest South, Forest North, and the response teams worked together to locate the driver of a vehicle being driven without insurance. Police said the driver “made off” when they saw officers. The vehicle was eventually stopped and seized.

A Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing Team spokesperson said: “Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle has the correct insurance, and if you drive someone else's vehicle on your own insurance, the vehicle must also have insurance.”
