THE ANNUAL Forest of Dean half marathon is taking place at the end of September, offering a chance to take on a challenge in the forest trails.

The half marathon is on Sunday, September 28 with a 10am start.

The event is organised by The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean and is supported by the Forestry Commission. Proceedings will go towards local and national charities.

A number of local organisations who are helping support the event include the Forestry commission, Speech House Hotel and the Forest of Dean Motor Club.

Entries need to be in by midnight on Sunday, September 14.

Once you have signed up, you will receive a personalised racing bib which will contain a timing chip.
