A DELIGHTED Will Rogers made his first foray in the World Championship and came away with a fantastic class win.

Rogers teamed up with Hull driver Becky Kirvan, who was also making her WRC debut on the Rally GB. They came 40th overall in a star-studded event won by flying Finn Jari-Matti Latvala.

Will said: "That's where I want to be, I want to push on and get onto the world scene".

Twenty-sixth overall on the GB National Rally constituted a best ever finish for Mitcheldean man Scott Partridge.

"To be honest, after seeing the entry I would have been happy to have finished in the 50s," said Scott, 34, the personal chef to billionaire Sheikh Mohammed.
