OVER 30 members of the Forest of Dean Extinction Rebellion group will be heading to London on Monday for a mass occupation of the centre of the capital city.

After demonstrations in Cinderford, Coleford and Lydney in the past month, the Forest group will be joinging thousands of other people in trying to halt Government ministiries in the latest bid to change opinion on climate change.

The Extinction Rebellion October Rebellion will take place alongside similar protests in many towns and citires around the world, as happened last month when people staged a demonstration at Lydney Cross, at the corner of Whitecross Road and High Street.

The action is organised to follow through on the latest warnings given by the world’s scientists who point to the measures that are needed to avoid the extinction of most life on earth, probably including the human species, through the rapidly developing Climate and Ecological Crises.
