THE project to regenerate the Five Acres site has hit the buffers as the land owner now needs to show that it is receiving an income from its investment.
The Five Acres is Not for Sale campaigners and the steering group overseeing the interests of the site for the local community, have been informed that the Homes and Communities Agency now needs to show a return on their £2.4m investment in the college and sports centre site, which they purchased in March 2011.
District Councillor Tim Gwilliam, the Berry Hill ward member said that the agency now needs to show receipts of between £750,000 and £900,000.
