SEVEN juniors from the Apollo Judo Club in Drybrook went to fight at the Samurai Club in Kidderminster.
It was the first competition for Daniel Hobbs, Nathaniel Smith, Finlee Moore, Oliver Griggs, Jez Jones and Adam Scrivens.
Jon Phelps was the only green belt boy to enter the competition in his weight category (under-28kg).
His fights came one after the other but he won both for the gold medal.
Daniel Hobbs fought in the over-30kg section and got to the final.
Nathaniel Smith fought in the under-30kg Group A section, with Finlee Moore in Group B at the same weight. Both performed well for bronze medals.
Oliver Griggs also earned a bronze medal.
Adam Scrivens had to move up a category to fight people with higher grades, but still came away with the bronze.
Jez Jones (over-38kg) missed out on a medal, coming fifth in his group.
