JOYS Green farmer Keith Barber has been given a suspended jail sentence for keeping pigs and cattle in appalling conditions.
Barber also admitted one offence relating to the dirty conditions of the feeding troughs, two offences relating to the disposal of animal carcasses and four offences under the Cattle Identification regulations.
Barber was sentenced to 18-weeks in prison suspended for two years when he pleaded guilty to eight animal welfare offences.
