MEMBERS of FANS (Five Acres Not For Sale) have welcomed the possibility of Gloucestershire College' s campus staying put in Coleford.
Last week, Gloucestershire College vice-principal Peter White revealed the relocation of the campus from Five Acres to the Northern Quarter development had not been 'secured'.
He stated that delays caused by legal challenges had impacted on the viability of the move.
Jamie Elmore, chairman of FANS, said: "Our ambition is for the Five Acres campus to become a venue for leisure, the arts and education for the whole community – young and old. "Our plans have been devised in such a way that includes the possibility of the college staying and keeping higher education in this area of the Forest."
