THE English Bicknor FC player-manager Daryl Addis was given a red card by the referee after he was caught urinating in a bush at half-time.
Mr Addis had just given the team his half-time pep talk when referee Colin Ward sent him off in the match against Winchcombe Town in the Northern Senior League Division Two November 10 clash.
After missing last Saturday’s game as part of his two-match ban, which included being fined £40, the 37-year-old said: “I have never been sent off before during a long 21-year footballing career, so when this happened, shocked isn’t the word.”
“I did my team talk at half-time and needed the toilet, so I went completely away from the pitch with nobody in sight and found a bush probably around 50 yards away.
“I came back and the referee sent me off.”
