A FOREST school has become the first in the UK to trial a new resource which helps students improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

Five Acres School staff have been helping students using materials from the 10:10 programme from Forest-based charity The Ugly Duckling Co., which seeks to explore wellbeing “from the foundations of positive psychology and spirituality.”

The programme is made up of 30 hours of adaptable materials designed to enable youth workers, chaplains and teachers to create “meaningful and helpful spaces” with young people.

Five Acres head Mr Simon Phelps said: “The 10:10 programme has already proven to be hugely beneficial to students.

“The creativity and quality of the materials are excellent and we congratulate all those involved in their creation for having such an impact.”
