GLOUCESTERSHIRE College recently attended Gloucestershire Tech Week, meeting with technology leaders from across the county.

On Monday, October 12, representatives from the college, which has a campus in the Forest of Dean, headed to Iress in Cheltenham to explore closer links between the technology industry and education.

Gloucestershire Tech Week, which runs until Friday, October 16, brings together founders, innovators, businesses, investors, educators, public sector leaders and learners to explore the technologies, ideas and challenges shaping the future.

The initiative helps turn conversations into new ideas, partnerships and opportunities for the county, discovering how to respond to opportunities and challenges presented by rapid technological change.

Dan Smale, Director of Digitech at Gloucestershire College said: “The launch highlighted the importance of bringing education, industry and innovation together through our Technical Excellence College (TEC) programme.

“By working in partnership, we can support economic growth and create more opportunities for learners, businesses and communities across Gloucestershire. We look forward to connecting with partners throughout Gloucestershire Tech Week and continuing our contribution to the county’s thriving technology sector.”
