RESURFACING work on the A48 is causing chaos for commuters and local businesses.

Lorries as well as delivery vans are getting stuck by trying to go through single track roads and meeting traffic heading in the opposite direction.

Alistair Fraser, local resident, said: "The situation is dreadful. All the cars are coming up and going down past Spout Hill. I don't understand why they haven't implemented a one way system. Lorries are meeting each other in single track lanes."
